We set sail from Norfolk, Virginia on the morning of November 1st and arrived in West Palm Beach, Florida five days later. Our journey took us down the East Coast of the United States, and we were treated to some beautiful sunrises and sunsets, as well as dolphins swimming alongside our boat. We also had good winds and weather for most of the trip, although we did experience a few intense squalls that tested our sailing skills!
Sean Duclay, and retired US Army Ranger and SailAhead Advisor and friend Carl Foster were helping to deliver a Class 40 Sailing race-boat. Class 40s are well known in the sailing community as being high performance boats. Each one is custom made, and they participate in some of the world's most demanding races.
Of course, Our Mates joined us on our sail south. By now they are experienced sailors, and have even sailed as far as the Galapagos Islands.
We had a great time on our journey, and we're looking forward to our next adventure!
