Classics racing in Oyster Bay, New York, is there a better way to indulge oneself in the time of high end sailboat racing before 1980?
The criteria for entering a race boat into the series is that it must have been either built, or designed before 1980 and can include replicas of classic yachts. Hence you can feel the same feelings of those who raced before you, the same nuances of older wooden boats, and the same thrill and satisfaction when it cuts cleanly through the water, carving through it a path from boats over a hundred years old, that have stood the test of time.
Join SailAhead in putting together veterans as crew on these sometimes relaxing, other times very intense classic races.
